The KWWTP was commissioned in February 2019. Work at the plant is currently underway, 90% complete, and is due to be completed in March 2021. The customized wastewater treatment plant, worth €13m, is set to serve the city of Kumasi and its environs by mechanically and biologically cleaning incoming raw municipal septage in a way that significantly lowers its overall environmental impact.
