IFAT 2024 in Munich was the biggest trade show of all time. Attracting a record number of exhibitors (3211) and visitors (142,000), the environmental trade summit was also very important to us.

From the Hungarian water industry only our company participated in this remarkable event as main exhibitor.  At our booth, we received visitors from almost all over the world. Experts from Europe, Asia, Africa, America, and India visited us, and throughout the days there were continuous discussions, negotiations and B2B meetings on the water treatment technologies we provide.
At IFAT, we represented our entire group, demonstrating our collective commitment. We took this opportunity to present water treatment technologies of global relevance, brought to our clients by our esteemed partners, Pureco-Tradeland Ltd. and Puraset Ltd. Further, we were pleased to host the Hungarian Water Partnership (HWP) as a co-exhibitor at our booth, thereby strengthening our collaborative efforts within the industry.

At IFAT we focused on our technologies that are certified by the UN as solutions to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

One of these is our unique solution for faecal sludge treatment in settlements without a sewerage network. Our Septopure® technology has already been successfully installed in three municipalities in Ghana. In addition, we also presented the PurAID® system, a unique, modular, regenerative adsorbent-based drinking water treatment system that provides water supply to rural and isolated areas. The product was on live display at our stand.

The third day of IFAT was also significant from another point of view, as our booth hosted the "Meet the Hungarian Water Industry" forum organised by the Hungarian Water Partnership (HWP).

During this event, Dr. Károly Kovács, President of the HWP, presented the "Honorary Ambassador of the HWP" award to Mr Johannes Lohaus, outgoing Secretary General of the European Water Association (EWA) and former Executive Director of the German Water Association (DWA), in recognition of his work in promoting the Hungarian water industry internationally.

Another important moment of the event was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Hungarian and the German Water Partnership (GWP) which builds on the successful, already existing cooperations between professional organisations in Europe, Africa, and Asia. HWP, which promotes water export, plans to cooperate with the German water sector's leading network in the fields of research and development, capacity building, water and wastewater project implementation and knowledge transfer.
